With US College Day taking place on the 29 & 30th September 2017, applying for a place at a US university has never been more attractive - over 3,000 students will attend the day and all of the seminars are completely sold out. Students are realising that US universities are a fantastic way to internationalise their CV and save the many tens of thousands of pounds in student loan repayments that they would have incurred had they attended a UK university: Many US universities offer huge bursaries and scholarships, with many offering a completely 'free ride' - including the major Ivy League colleges. An increasing number of prestigious UK schools such as Wellington College and Ampleforth have also begun to realise that running US university application programmes is also a terrific way attract additional pupils.
